As part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate the incredible work of our fellows across Latin America and the Caribbean, Princeton in Latin America (PiLA) is excited to announce our First Annual Fellowship Photography Contest! This contest will showcase the unique experiences and profound impacts our fellows are making on the ground, and we want you—our esteemed alumni—to play a key role.
We’re reaching out to ask PiLA alumni to join us as judges for this exciting event. Your experience and perspective as past fellows make you the perfect fit to help us choose the most compelling photos that capture the heart of the PiLA fellowship experience.
What Will Be Expected of Alumni Judges?
As a judge, you will be given a rubric to review submitted photos from our current fellows, evaluating them based on criteria such as:
- Creativity: How well does the photo tell a story in a unique and engaging way?
- Impact: Does the photo capture the essence of the fellow’s work and the impact they are making?
- Representation: How well does the image showcase the local culture, people, and environment?
We expect the judging process to take approximately 1-2 hours of your time. You’ll receive the photos and judging guidelines via email, and then you can submit your evaluations online. We anticipate judging to take place from November 15 - November 29, 2024, with winners being announced on December 02, 2024.
Why Get Involved?
Not only will you have the chance to reconnect with the PiLA community, but you'll also get a firsthand look at the incredible work being done by current fellows. Your involvement will help spotlight the best representations of PiLA’s mission and inspire future fellows!
