At Princeton in Latin America (PiLA), we are proud to partner with a diverse network of organizations driving positive, community-led change across Latin America and the Caribbean. Our fellows are placed with leading NGOs, social enterprises, and development organizations, all working to tackle some of the region’s most pressing challenges — from education and public health to environmental conservation and economic empowerment.
Through these partnerships, PiLA Fellows gain hands-on experience, contribute to mission-driven work, and build relationships that foster cross-cultural understanding and impact.

Women’s Justice Initiative (Guatemala): The Women’s Justice Initiative empowers indigenous women and girls in rural Guatemala through legal services, education, and advocacy. Fellows work on projects that advance gender equity, increase access to justice, and promote women’s rights.

As part of our commitment to expanding opportunities and deepening impact, PiLA is excited to introduce several new partner organizations for the 2025-2026 fellowship cycle. These organizations work at the forefront of education, public health, community development, and youth empowerment across Latin America and the Caribbean.
We are excited to be expanding our network to include the following new partner organizations:

Cova (Honduras): Cova is dedicated to water safety, access, and education in communities across Honduras, Nicragua, and El Salvador. PiLA Fellows will support community-based water safety and education initiatives, helping to improve public health outcomes and access to clean, safe water in underserved areas.

Honduras' Independence Bilingual School (Honduras): Based in Quimistán, Honduras' Independence Bilingual School strives to provide bilingual education focused on academic excellence and leadership development, with the goal of preparing students to contribute to the leadership and development of the country. Fellows will work as English language facilitators, curriculum developers, and mentors, expanding educational access and opportunity for students.

Liceo Científico (Dominican Republic): Liceo Científico is the first and only public STEM school in the Dominican Republic, providing access to STEM education to studnets in the Hermanas Mirabal Province. Fellows will support classroom teaching, curriculum development, and language-focused extracurricular activities, empowering students to pursue careers in science and technology.

The Mariposa DR Foundation (Dominican Republic): The Mariposa DR Foundation works to empower girls and young women through comprehensive programs in education, arts, sports, and leadership. Fellows will contribute to youth development initiatives, creative programs, and community engagement efforts, supporting girls as they develop the skills to become community leaders.

Partners for Andean Community Health (Ecuador): Partners for Andean Community Health (PACH) focuses on improving healthcare access and outcomes in underserved Andean communities. Fellows will engage in women’s health programming, public health education, and community-based outreach, supporting sustainable community health initiatives.

Ronald McDonald House Foundation (Colombia): The Ronald McDonald House Foundation in Cartagena supports children and families facing serious medical challenges, providing a caring home environment and critical support services. Fellows will assist with program development, international cooperation projects, and family-centered services, helping improve the wellbeing of vulnerable families.
