Where We Work: PiLA 2024-2025 Partner Organizations
At Princeton in Latin America (PiLA), we are proud to work in partnership with a diverse range of organizations that are driving positive change across Latin America and the Caribbean. Our fellows are placed with leading NGOs, social enterprises, and development organizations that are committed to addressing some of the region’s most pressing challenges. From education and public health to environmental conservation and economic development, PiLA Fellows are making a tangible impact in communities throughout the region.
Where We Work
PiLA Fellows are currently serving in multiple countries across Latin America and the Caribbean. Our placements span a variety of sectors, each providing a unique opportunity for our fellows to contribute their skills, learn from local leaders, and immerse themselves in the culture and context of their host country. Here’s an overview of where we work:
- Costa Rica: Our partners in Costa Rica focus on environmental conservation and sustainable agriculture.
- Dominican Republic: Our partners in the Dominican Republic focus on education and community development, providing fellows with opportunities to engage in meaningful projects that support local communities.
- Guatemala: Our partnerships in Guatemala focus on education and human rights.
- Mexico: Our partner in Mexico focuses on economic development programs that empower local communities.
Our 2024-2025 Partner Organizations
PiLA collaborates with a wide range of organizations that are leaders in their fields. Here are some of the current partners where our fellows are making a difference:
Antigua International School (Guatemala): Antigua International School (AIS) offers a world-class education to students in Guatemala, blending rigorous academics with a focus on character development and global citizenship. Fellows contribute to curriculum development, teaching, and extracurricular activities that prepare students for success in a globalized world.
The DREAM Project (Dominican Republic): The DREAM Project focuses on providing high-quality education and opportunities to children and youth in the Dominican Republic. Fellows support educational programs, literacy initiatives, and community development projects.
EARTH University (Costa Rica): EARTH University is renowned for its focus on sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship. Fellows work alongside staff and students to promote sustainable practices and develop innovative solutions to agricultural challenges.
Endeavor Mexico (Mexico): Endeavor Mexico is part of a global network that supports high-impact entrepreneurs. Fellows with Endeavor work on projects that help scale businesses and foster economic development.
Osa Conservation (Costa Rica): Osa Conservation focuses on protecting the rich biodiversity of Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Fellows contribute to environmental conservation projects, research, and community engagement efforts.
Women’s Justice Initiative (Guatemala): The Women’s Justice Initiative empowers indigenous women and girls in rural Guatemala through legal services, education, and advocacy. Fellows work on projects that advance gender equity, increase access to justice, and promote women’s rights.
Yspaniola (Dominican Republic): Yspaniola is dedicated to providing high-quality education and leadership development to underserved communities. PiLA Fellows at Yspaniola work on educational programs, curriculum development, and community outreach initiatives.
Expanding Our Reach
As we continue to grow, PiLA is committed to expanding our network of partner organizations across the region. We are constantly exploring new opportunities to collaborate with innovative organizations that share our commitment to social justice, sustainable development, public health, education, and human rights. Our goal is to provide PiLA Fellows with diverse and impactful placements that not only advance their professional development but also contribute to the long-term well-being of the communities they serve.
In addition to the partners listed above, for our 2025-2026 fellowship cycle, we will be adding new partners in Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, and Panama. Stay tuned for more information as those partnerships continue to develop.
