Fundación Arias para la Paz y el Progreso Humano (San José)

The Arias Foundation for Peace and Human Progress is a non-governmental non-profit organization, founded in 1988 by the former president of Costa Rica and 1987 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Dr. Oscar Arias Sánchez. Our work is dedicated to building and promoting more just, peaceful and equitable societies. In the fulfillment of our goals, the Arias Foundation has promoted projects of national and international impact that have contributed to the transformation of countries, influencing public policies that promote democracy, gender equality, disarmament and demilitarization always with a determined focus on education for peace and violence prevention.
